LIPOSUCTION

One of the most common and non-invasive cosmetic procedure to reshape one’s body is Liposuction, also known as Lipoplasty. It acts by eliminating excess fat in certain targeted parts of the body, giving the area a slim and sculpted effect. Often times, the fat stored in these areas has resisted the extensive diet and exercise efforts made by the patient, and can only be removed with liposuction.
It is also a common procedure used in conjunction with facelifts, breast reductions and tummy tucks, as to enhance the final results.

DID YOU KNOW?

According to ASAPS, Liposuction was the most popular surgical procedure in 2014, with over 340,000 procedures performed in America alone.

There are two types of fat in the body, subcutaneous and visceral fat. Only the subcutaneous fat can be removed by liposuction since it is located right underneath the skin’s surface. The visceral fat however is situated beneath the firm abdominal wall, making it unreachable.
